About us
About us
Mission
In existence since 1985, the mission of the Réseau Alternatif et Communautaire des ORganismes (RACOR) in mental health on the Island of Montreal is to bring together, support, equip and represent community and alternative mental health organizations on the Island of Montreal.
We are dedicated to ensuring recognition of the unique competence of the alternative community in mental health, as well as the innovative and indispensable nature of the services offered to people living with mental health problems.
40 years of RACOR in mental health
Every person has a story, and every story has a face...
RACOR in mental health also aims to raise awareness, inform and promote a better understanding of mental health among government bodies and the general public, and to lift the veil on the perverse effects of taboos and stigmatization on people suffering from psychological distress.
Our services
RACOR is a network of community organizations working in the field of mental health in the Greater Montreal area. United by their community involvement and the importance they attach to mental health issues, the members of our group offer a wide variety of support and accompaniment activities. Their actions are based on diversified approaches and respond to multiple needs.

Farah El-Bizri
Executive Assistant
Farah joined RACOR in 2022 as your point of contact. Empathetic and concerned about the well-being of others, she began her career in humanitarian aid by working for five years in a community organization in Lebanon. She therefore has significant practical experience in accompanying people in situations of moral distress. Our members also appreciate her versatility and excellent management of priorities, qualities which are very useful in her position as Executive Assistant.
Reports and publications
