Mission
To reduce the discrimination and isolation experienced by individuals living with mental health challenges by offering a range of services grounded in an alternative approach focused on empowerment and mutual support.

Projet P.A.L. is a bilingual community organization founded in 1975.

  • Its community center, open daily, offers meals and a variety of social and educational activities.
  • Its housing program provides both short- and long-term residences, with ongoing support. The organization is actively involved in the creation and development of affordable social housing.
  • It offers individual advocacy services in the form of accompaniment, direct advocacy, and personalized assistance.
  • Through collective action, political advocacy, and popular education, Project P.A.L. works to improve the quality of life for individuals living with mental health conditions.

At Project P.A.L., we are not concerned with diagnosing those who walk through our doors. Instead, we focus on their potential. When we meet someone living with a mental health issue, we see not the illness, but a human being capable of taking charge of their own life.

Our Areas of Expertise Include:

  • Promoting individual empowerment and self-esteem
  • Developing and supporting affordable housing initiatives
  • Advocating for rights at local, provincial, and federal levels
  • Building strong mutual support and social networks
  • Enhancing personal skills through workshops and activities
