For nearly 25 years, MdM Canada has worked with socially excluded populations in Montreal. Its expertise is rooted in proximity-based outreach, meeting the most vulnerable people where they are to provide essential health care and supportive listening.
The MdM team is committed to offering culturally safe and adapted support to individuals who need it, ensuring they receive the care they are entitled to. MdM has unique and recognized expertise in access to health services and mental health care, particularly for people experiencing homelessness, substance users, Indigenous communities, and migrants with precarious status in Montreal.
MdM’s mental health program provides individual psychological support to socially isolated individuals, as well as to community workers and peer supporters who accompany them. Services also include one-on-one clinical supervision for peer helpers within MdM, and group clinical supervision for MdM’s partner organizations.
